What We're Doing

We are a group of people who are trying to follow in the Way of Jesus. We aren’t waiting around to escape from the world, or trying hide ourselves away from everything that scares us. We want to live in this world as those who care about what God is doing, in and around us, to put right a creation worth restoring. We want to be a part of that work and believe that there is no better place for us to do that than from the corner of Sixth and Nebraska in downtown Sioux City.

  • We try to make our space available to a wide array of groups throughout the community for music events, weddings, funerals, and regular meetings.
  • We reach out to our neighbors in need through support of the Sioux City Gospel Mission, the Soup Kitchen on West 7th Street, the Mary Treglia Community House, and the Community Action Agency, among others.
  • We have joined with eight other Presbyterian churches in the area to form the Living Waters Working Group which is committed to helping our friends at the Trinity House of Jacmel, Haiti build a system that will provide clean water to their surrounding community.
  • We are committed to nurturing in the children and youth among us a love of God that will bear fruit as they learn what it means to find eternal life as someone who follows Jesus.
