Our sermons are grounded in Scripture and speak to the unending love of Christ. Each message offers practical wisdom and encouragement, giving us truths we can take home and apply as we live out our faith every day.

At the foot of the cross, Jesus creates a new family, reminding us that belonging in God’s family isn’t about perfection or performance — it’s about presence. This sermon explores what it truly means to follow Jesus and care for one another, especially in times of grief, uncertainty, and need. Sometimes, faith simply begins with one faithful step: just showing up.

Even as He was being crucified, Jesus extended mercy. Those who condemned Him did not fully understand who He was — yet through their actions, God’s saving plan was fulfilled.

From the cross, Jesus offers forgiveness that doesn’t just cover sin — it wipes it away. That’s the good news: if Christ could forgive them, He can forgive us too.

This sermon discusses the transfiguration of Jesus before his disciples.

What does Jesus really mean when He calls us to “take up our cross daily”? In this sermon, we explore how that familiar phrase has lost some of its weight — and what it truly meant to Jesus and His disciples. Self-sacrificial love is lived out not just in one dramatic moment, but in small, faithful choices every day. This message invites us to consider the gifts God has given us — our time, talents, and resources — and how we can use them to bless others. What is God calling you to do today with your “one wild and precious life”?

In this sermon, we reflect on how false prophets and bad shepherds disguise selfish ambition as faithfulness. Jesus teaches that we can recognize true and false leaders by their “fruit.” Godly leadership means providing for others, guiding them in God’s ways, and protecting them from harm. In contrast, false prophets serve only themselves, leaving behind division, despair, and spiritual harm. This message challenges us to be thoughtful about the voices we listen to and the leaders we follow.

In this sermon, Jesus challenges the Pharisees and scribes for confusing human traditions with God’s Law. Jesus reminds us that true faith is not about rituals or tiny legal details, but about justice, mercy, and love. Drawing on Psalm 146 and Jesus’ warning about “the blind leading the blind,” this message invites us to discern who we follow and why. True godly leadership points beyond tradition and ego, and leads toward compassion, faith, and eternal life.

This sermon continues our series on biblical phrases that have entered everyday language, focusing on “the writing on the wall.” Drawing from Daniel 5, we explore the dramatic story of King Belshazzar and the mysterious message that foretold the fall of his kingdom, revealing how wisdom can be ignored even when it is right in front of us. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus challenges the Pharisees and Sadducees for seeking signs while failing to recognize God’s wisdom standing before them. Together, these stories remind us that true wisdom does not come from signs, miracles, or last-minute answers in a crisis, but from a lifelong relationship with God. God’s wisdom is written on our hearts—and the greatest sign of all has already been given in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The meaning of the biblical phrase “the apple of his eye,” is popularized by the King James Bible. Drawing from Deuteronomy, we learn that the phrase refers to the pupil of the eye—a powerful image of God’s fierce protection and deep love for His people during the Exodus. The message then moves to Jesus’ prayer at the Last Supper in the Gospel of John, where Christ prays not only for His disciples, but for all who would come to believe. The good news is clear: in Christ, we are precious to God, fully protected, deeply loved, and truly the apple of God’s eye.

Daniel sees “one like a human being” receive authority, glory, and kingship from God—a vision fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Jesus reveals that this authority includes both the power to forgive sins and to heal, challenging religious leaders who believed such authority belonged only to God. Jesus, though fully human and outwardly ordinary, carries divine authority—and shared that authority with others. Through faith in Christ, believers are called to forgive, to serve, and to care for those in need. Even as “just human beings,” we are given authority to serve, to love, and to glorify God in our everyday lives.

Jesus knew the full story of King David—the faithfulness and the failures. Though a descendant of David, Jesus rose above David’s flaws, becoming the righteous and faithful King Isaiah foretold, led not by lineage alone but by God’s Spirit. Jesus fulfilled God’s covenant, bringing justice and hope especially for the poor and oppressed. No matter our family history or past mistakes, through faith in Christ we are forgiven, renewed, and made children of God—part of a new family and a new kind of royalty.

God could have made Jesus the son of Herod or the Emperor of Rome, where he could have grown up in a palace and never want for anything. Instead, Jesus was born on a humble, working man, Joseph. By placing Jesus in Joseph’s care, God showed Jesus and all of us who He had come fore. He wasn’t there for the proud and mighty. The Messiah came for those who were just getting by, who tried to be good people, who looked to God to provide everything good, including their salvation.

In the Christmas story, Mary gets something few of us ever will. She gets a clear pathway from God – an unquestionable commission to do exactly what God wants her to do. This relates to us because all of our stories are still being written. And like Mary, we may come to a crossroads, a climactic moment, or some great choice that we never expected. During these moments, Mary shows us how to react. We accept this part of our story as a blessing from God.

In Luke 17, Jesus heals ten men with leprosy—but only one returns to thank Him. This sermon explores how gratitude keeps us connected to Jesus’ ongoing story. Blessings aren’t luck or chance; they are gifts from a loving God. And when we respond with praise and share how God has blessed us, those blessings multiply and encourage others. This Thanksgiving, we’re reminded that giving thanks isn’t just a holiday tradition—it’s how we stay part of the story of Jesus Christ.

Jesus described several signs that would mark his return: wars, natural disasters, plagues, and signs from the heavens. Although human kind has experienced these events for centuries, and we are still here. When will he return? What will happen? And will we be able to recognize Him?

Nov 9, 2025

Our prayers must be founded on deep truths: Do we truly have a familiarity with God? Do we truly have faith? Do we truly understand our own desire? And finally, after our prayers have been answered, can we proclaim that truth to the world?

When Jesus said, “Let the children come to me,” He wasn’t just calling to little ones. He was calling to every one of us. Jesus was saying, “I am willing to teach you what you need to know. I’m willing to show you the right way to go. But are you willing to come to Me?”

It doesn’t matter how, powerful, or wealthy we think we may be.  There  is only one who can be the most important person at the table.  When we understand and know this, we can truly say we understand and know the Lord.

Oct 12, 2025

We are asked to be rich toward God by being rich toward all our neighbors in need.  When we obey God’s commandment and give generously, God promises to bless us in all our work and in all that we undertake.

Jesus’s disciples made a simple request, “Teach us to pray.”  He not only taught them how often and when to pray, but to whom and what to ask for.
Sept 28, 2025

Jesus told His disciples to go out to the towns and villages he intended to visit. The disciples were told to prepare the people to meet Jesus and when going into someone’s home, to offer them peace. Jesus asks the same thing of us – to take the gift of peace with us wherever we go and give it to whoever we are with.

Sept 21, 2025

When we embrace unpredictability, lack of control and allow the Holy Spirit to move us, that’s when the real magic begins. All we have to do is believe that, by God’s love and grace, the Holy Spirit WILL work in our lives.

Sept 14, 2025

As Christians we can be Christ’s co-redeemers for those being held captive by sin, disease, or destress.  We are called on by Christ to pay the price of redemption in order to grant someone their freedom.

Sept 7, 2025

We have all be given talents by God that can be used to create something new, bless the world around you and worship our Heavenly Father.

Thousands of years ago, God required sacrifices in order to show our devotion to Him. But we no longer proclaim our love of God through animal slaughter. We proclaim our love through the words on our lips and the actions of our hands.

Aug 24, 2025

To God, no matter how old we get, no matter what we go through, we are still His children. It doesn’t matter how gray our hair gets, or whether we have any hair at all!  Compared to our everlasting God, all of us will always be infants.

Aug 17, 2025

Trusting our young people is trusting in God’s ability to work through anyone, even if they’re younger than we are.  No matter how young, God can speak through their words and work through their actions  to bless this church for generations to come.

Aug 10, 2025

There are times when we can act childish in our faith. Even though we may not do the right thing, God – as an ever loving parent – will never turn His back. He calls us to mature in our faith, to put the needs of others in front of our own, and fulfill the will of God’s Holy Spirit instead of ours.

Aug 3, 2025

In a world where we are lead to believe more is always better, we are reminded that God’s priorities for us is to put the needs of others before our own.

July 27, 2025

Thousands of years ago, God required sacrifices in order to show our devotion to Him. But we no longer proclaim our love of God through animal slaughter. We proclaim our love through the words on our lips and the actions of our hands.

July 20, 2025

Faith isn’t just believing in something we can’t see – it is something we live out. Real faith moves us to love, to serve, to speak truth, and to step out even when the path isn’t clear.

Church is an earthly sanctuary – a sacred space where we gather to worship God. One day we will step into His true sanctuary in Heaven. When we arrive it will look familiar. We will already know how to worship – and will sing his praises forever and ever.
