As you visit with First Presbyterian Church in person or on this web site I hope you find all that you are looking for. We hope you will see us as a church passionately committed to Jesus Christ our Lord and a group of committed disciples ardently engaged in studying the Scriptures and gathering to worship God.

We believe you will find a church reaching into our city and beyond with the love of Jesus.  You’ll see a church full of people who love each other through the thick and thin of life’s challenges. You will find a church ready to welcome new faces, and we aren’t as frozen as we appear.   You’ll see, I sincerely hope, a church with a vision to walk a deeper path of discipleship with Christ into the world.

You can expect quality pastoral care.  Our pastor routinely makes home and hospital visits, and he is available to provide one-on-one counseling for members of the congregation.   He along with our deacons bring communion to our homebound and hospitalized members on the first Sunday of each month.  If you are experiencing loss, sadness, illness or grief, if you are struggling with questions of faith or have a particular concern on your heart, or simply want a prayer offered on your behalf, let us know.

You can also expect to be able to learn more about what First Presbyterian Church believes and why we’ve chosen to be faithful to God’s covenant.  We pray and hope that you will join us in our journey in discipleship and offer you an opportunity to become a member through a number of ways that can be discussed with our pastor, Rev. Mark Bedford who can be contacted at 712-255-8919.
